If you are visiting Thailand without a visa then you can obtain a visa waiver at the airport or as you cross the Thai border checkpoints. There are two groups of people in the view of Thai immigration. Those who can stay for 30 days and those who can stay for 15 days and have to pay a fee of 1,000THB.
Here are the countries that do receive 30 days on arrival at the airport, however note that if you are crossing a land border in Thailand then you will only receive 15 days unless you have a valid Thai visa in your passport. :
